A "moment of magic" by New Zealander Zane Sole was enough to
give City their third straight National League South win and move them up to
12th in the table. The young midfielder struck after 14 minutes at
Vauxhall Road with a superb free-kick from fully 25 yards, which
gave Jamie Butler in the home goal no chance as it flew into the top corner. And
it was a goal worthy winning of any game as City continued their much improved
form with three more points at what is always a difficult ground. and
City boss Lee Hodges was full of praise for his side who looked to have turned
the corner after a difficult start to the season. He said: "It was a
moment of magic by Zane. it was an unbelievable strike and their keeper did not
have a hope of saving it."Again it was not the prettiest
of games but the boys dogged it out. There were not a lot chances,
but we again looked very solid with everyone working for each other."I
believe in the players and they believe in me. To get nine points out
of the last nine is fantastic and all down to the boys who have pulled on the
shirt."
