Truro Independent Supporters Association(TISA) cautiously
welcomes the news today that there has been at last a degree of clarity about
where Truro City will play its football in the years to come. Whilst it
was always preferable for TCFC to have its own purpose built stadium, sadly
this was not something that the clubs owners could deliver. The next best
option is to be part of the exciting Stadium for Cornwall project which will
hopefully help the football club integrate more successfully with the Cornish
community. We also welcome the fact that rather than having to play
outside of the county in Torquay until the new Stadium for Cornwall is built,
instead we will be playing at Bodmin Town’s ground which will also benefits
them by making lasting improvements in their ground infrastructure. This
is something that TISA pushed for in our ‘Keep Truro in Cornwall’ campaign last
year and we are glad that common sense has at last prevailed.
