Some positive verbal comments came from Truro Fans on Saturday's first home game of the season, as well as written on Tiger Talk forum. The ground improvements are good, with a better PA system, expanded standing area in front of the clubhouse, a dedicated programme booth in club livery, a 28 page colour match-day programme, merchandise shop/match day centre and the pitch and ground looked very tidy. Superb!
The all-important clubhouse improvements were well in evidence though there is clearly more to be done yet. The bar area was clean and tidy, the beer fresh and more keenly priced and the food for the players and staff looked tasty too. The staff were excellent and obviously professional. The installation of some football memorabilia and Sky Sports TV would be the most advantageous aspects to the clubhouse and hopefully these will be in place in time for the season proper. Fans still question though why the only club memorabilia on display happens to be in the gent's urinals? I've never got to the bottom of that (the idea, that is).
Well done to Mr Stephenson so far; more to be done yet but a good start.
