Torquay United have moved to re-sign their former goalkeeper Martin Rice from Truro City. The 25-year-old left Plainmoor to join Truro City in 2009 on a loan and has made more than 120 appearances. Torquay manager Martin Ling has brought in the former Exeter man to act as cover for first-choice shot-stopper Bobby Olejnik.
"Ricey" will be missed by the Treyew Road faithful, not least for his colourful language and pink boots, but also his friendly and approachable attitude to Truro fans. We wish him luck with his "new" club. The image below is somewhat a tribute to him from our own White Tiger:
