Dan Green's goal gives Truro City second successive victory (West Briton)

Bedford Town 0 Truro City 1

A goal by man of the match and skipper for the day Dan Green, gave City all three points at already relegated Bedford Town, who had won their previous three matches.
It was a well deserved win for the visitors, who assured their Calor League premier division status for next season in midweek.

And it was enough to move them one place up to the table to 16th with three games of the season left to play.

Steve Tully, whose appointment as manager for next season was confirmed after the midweek win against Weymouth, was pleased with the victory.

He said: “It was a workmanlike performance. We created lots of chances and I think they had only one real effort on goal.

“We worked hard and kept a clean sheet, which is pleasing but there is still plenty of work to do.”

The game’s only goal came on the hour when Green fired home from the edge of the area after Cody Cooke’s shot had been blocked.

And the visitors saw the game out to complete a second successive win and will be looking for make it three in a row when they visit Biggleswade Town on Tuesday evening.
