Truro City manager Lee Hodges has admitted that he has been impressed by his crop of youngsters in pre-season play, following Saturday’s 3-2 home win over Falmouth Town at Treyew Road.
Summer find Kieffer Moore scored a spectacular 76th-minute overhead winner for the Blue Square Bet South side, after replacing the injured Stewart Yetton.

Hodges said: “Keifer is about six foot three or four tall and showed enough footballing ability to score a spectacular winner.
“He’s still a bit raw but he has definitely got something. I was pleased with him on Saturday and with Ben Williams at left-back – for me, those two stood out – and I think we might have found the place for Dan Green, at right-back. He looks good there.”

Yetton limped off with a hamstring injury after heading Truro ahead in the seventh minute, and then skipper Jake Ash doubled the home side’s advantage before Falmouth hit back with goals either side of half time – through Dan McGhee and Matt Shiels – to draw level.
Hodges said: “Yettsy has tweaked his hamstring and we will just have to see how it is, but I think early signs are for at least a couple weeks.”
Following a draw, a defeat and a win in pre-season, Truro’s next scheduled friendly is at Evo-Stik League Southern Division One South and West side Tiverton Town next Saturday.
