Truro City
boss Steve Massey says his new-look side will make up for a lack of experience
with their commitment.
The club have brought in several younger players in the wake of their financial meltdown last season.
Massey says the players that face Bedford in the Southern Football League Premier Division on Saturday will not lack enthusiasm or energy.
"I've got a side that's hungry and full of desire and commitment," he told BBC Radio Cornwall.
“It's a completely new squad and Saturday can't come quick enough.”
"They want to put a show on for our supporters and play
some really attractive football.
"I'm hoping football supporters, not just in Truro but further afield in Cornwall, are going to come and look at this young exciting side.
"I hope the ground is going to be roaring on Saturday."
Last season saw the club in disarray, with a year of financial turmoil resulting in the club going into administration as former owner Kevin Heaney went bankrupt.
Massey returned to the role of manager and said he could see lots of similarities between Truro's situation and that of Bedford.
"It's a great fixture for us to start with," said Massey.
"Bedford have had big budget cuts and brought in young players who were playing below this standard and are putting together a side on a small budget.
"It's been a long long time since we started pre-season training. It's a completely new squad and Saturday can't come quick enough."
